The first part considers the development of frenzy in the Orlando furioso starting from the Inamoramento de Orlando: the different signs induced by jealousy as an obsessive form that results in the loss of self and unites almost all the characters of the poem, absorbed by various passions. The second part deals with the role of figments in creating those illusions that trigger madness, but which can also help to make life acceptable.
