Poetica, politica, ‘simplicitas’ di due traduttori solitari

Abstract

My essay examines the connection between translation and tradition in Daniele Benati and Gianni Celati’s work (with a special attention to Celati’s figure). The starting point is a selection of translations originally published in the magazine «Il Semplice» (1995-1997) then collected in their four-handed anthology Storie di solitari americani (2006).
