Abstract

The essay aims to show the multiple forms of Petrarch's passion on the side of the Latin works (Secretum; De remediis) and the Italian ones, and in the forms of his annotations on manuscripts. The essay also warns against the dangers of modern interpretative categories applied to texts and to a fourteenth-century author whose readings and culture are highlighted.
